How Christmas Pre-Ordering Works

Christmas is the busiest week of our year, and the counter sells through fast, so we take pre-orders to make sure your fish is put aside for you. Christmas orders are taken by phone or at the counter, not online: ring the shop on 01202 747661 or pop in, tell us what you're after and when you want it, and we'll have it prepared, wrapped and waiting. At Christmas we recommend ordering at least a week ahead, earlier for platters and larger orders.

Final order dates and Christmas opening hours are confirmed each autumn. Call us to register your order early and we'll take it from there.

What Our Customers Order for Christmas

• Smoked salmon: hand-sliced to order for Christmas-morning breakfasts and starters.
• Seafood platters: made to order for Christmas Eve gatherings and Boxing Day spreads (48 hours' notice, more at Christmas).
• Whole fish and fillets: a whole bass or turbot makes a proper centrepiece for anyone stepping away from turkey.
• Prawns: by the kilo for buffets, cocktails and the fridge raid on Boxing Day.

Collection and Delivery Over the Holidays

Collect from the shop at 12 Bournemouth Road, Poole, or have your order delivered free to any BH postcode (£40 minimum) in our refrigerated van. Delivery slots around Christmas fill quickly, another reason to order early.

"We buy fish and seafood regularly from the friendly and knowledgeable team at Parkstone Fisheries, everything is always very fresh and much of it is caught locally. Their mackerel and salmon pates, which they make on the premises, are the best ever, you have to be quick though as they sell out rapidly. Their smoked salmon is produced in-house too. We are already planning our Seafood Platter for Christmas. Yum Yum!"
