Delivering to Sandbanks
We deliver to Sandbanks and all BH13 postcodes by refrigerated vehicle, Tuesday to Saturday. Free delivery, £40 minimum order.
Sandbanks is one of the most exclusive addresses on the south coast, a narrow peninsula between Poole Harbour and the open sea. Just minutes from our counter in Parkstone, Sandbanks residents enjoy some of the fastest, freshest deliveries on our route. When you live this close to the water, you expect your fish to match.
Serving the streets around Sandbanks Beach, Poole Harbour, Shell Bay, Haven Hotel, Brownsea Island.
Fresh Off the Boat
Day-boat and locally landed wherever the catch allows, sourced each morning and never frozen-then-thawed. The same fish that fills our Parkstone counter goes into every Sandbanks order.
Prepared to Order, Your Way
Filleted, descaled, pin-boned, skinned or portioned exactly how you ask, by hand, by people who do it all day. Tell us how you're cooking it and we'll prepare it to match.
Chilled to Your Door
Delivered across Sandbanks in our own refrigerated van, not by a courier or the post. Free on orders over £40, Tuesday to Saturday, arriving as fresh as the counter.

Across the Ferry and Down Banks Road
There is one road onto the peninsula, and we know it well. Our van comes off Shore Road, past the beach huts, and down Banks Road toward the chain ferry, a run we make several times a week through the season. From the counter on Bournemouth Road to a doorstep overlooking the harbour is about five minutes and a couple of miles. That matters with shellfish. The shorter the journey between the slab and your fridge, the better the lobster sits and the longer the oysters keep their liquor.
Plenty of Sandbanks customers skip the van altogether. They drive round, leave the car on Bournemouth Road, and pick their fish off the ice in person. Collection from the counter is free, with no minimum, so it suits a single piece of Dover sole from the counter on the way back from the beach as much as a full weekend shop. Whichever way you order, it’s the same catch and the same hands preparing it.
What a Sandbanks Order Usually Looks Like
It is rarely two fillets and a lemon. The orders that come off this peninsula tend to be built for a table of people. A whole lobster cooked to order. A side of our own smoked salmon, cut by hand the morning it goes out. A dozen oysters, dressed crab, a kilo of scallops, a tray of shell-on prawns to pick at with mayonnaise and brown bread. Often it is all of the above, called through to Steve at ten in the morning because eight people are arriving for lunch.
That kind of order rewards a phone call over a checkout box. Tell us the number of guests, what you fancy, and when you need it, and we’ll build it around the day’s catch. Call 01202 747661 or browse the shop to see what’s in.
Platters and shellfish for the deck
Most Sandbanks entertaining happens outside: on a terrace, a balcony, or the back of a boat with the harbour in front of you. Cold seafood is made for it. There is no stove to mind and nothing to time; you lay it out and let people help themselves. Our seafood platters are assembled to order from dressed crab, shell-on prawns, smoked salmon, and whatever shellfish is at its best that week. The classic builds we can usually turn around on a day’s notice. For a platter that has to feed a crowd, give us a few days and we’ll scale it up properly rather than rushing it.
If you’d rather cook, a tray of king prawns and a pan is fifteen minutes of work. Our prawn linguine is the one our staff make on a weeknight. For something that looks like an effort and isn’t, the baked side of salmon feeds six from one tin.
Provisioning the Boat as Well as the House
A lot of front doors on this peninsula open onto a pontoon, and a fair few have a boat tied to the end of it. Poole Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world, ringed with berths and moorings, and we deliver to them. If you’re heading out from Sandbanks for the day or stocking a galley for a weekend on the water, our yacht provisioning service brings the same fish, shellfish, and platters straight to the berth: chilled, prepared, and ready to load. It’s the same offer as the house delivery, just met at the water instead of the door. Crews and skippers can call ahead and we’ll have it boxed and waiting.
The Chefs Behind the Dinner Parties
Not every Sandbanks table is laid by the people who live there. Several private chefs working across the peninsula and the harbour islands buy from us week in, week out, because we can hold to a standard and turn things around at short notice. They get trade-level consistency and fish cut to an exact brief. If your chef already orders from Parkstone, you have very likely been eating our fish without knowing whose counter it came from. Steve handles those accounts personally. The number for that is the same one on every page, 01202 747661.
Eating with the Seasons by the Water
Living this close to the sea, you feel the year turn through what’s on the slab. Summer is the loud half: native lobster and brown crab at their best, oysters, sardines for the barbecue, prawns and platters out on the terrace while the harbour fills with sails. Then the season tips. As the water cools the menu steadies into Dover sole, turbot, a whole bass baked with herbs, mussels by the kilo, and our smoked fish and home-made pâté for the colder evenings. We smoke the salmon and make the pâté ourselves, on the premises in Parkstone, so both taste of more than the vacuum pack ever does. The seasonal calendar lays out what’s at its peak month by month, a good place to start when you’re planning a menu around the view.
A Postcode Doesn’t Cook the Supper
Banks Road, Shore Road, Panorama Road. These are some of the most valuable addresses in the country, and none of it puts dinner on the table. What does is fish prepared properly and brought to you cold. So the service to a Shore Road apartment, a family house on Banks Road, or a place along Panorama Road with the harbour out the window is exactly the one we give everyone: the morning’s catch, cut the way you ask, carried over in our own refrigerated van. Free delivery, a £40 minimum, Tuesday to Saturday, ordered by 3pm for the next available day. Fill a box from the shop or call and we’ll talk you through what landed.
What People Say

Always quality produce and great customer service.
I am a Private Chef and I love going into Parkstone Fisheries! The fish is of outstanding quality, mostly local and dayboat caught. The knowledge the whole team have is second to none. And if you want the bones for stock...probably best not get one that Jason has filleted as it will JUST be bones. Looking forward to going in there for many years to come!
We were so impressed with our first visit to Parkstone Fisheries. We received a very friendly welcome and advice on the fish they supply. We look forward to cooking the plaice tonight and the smoked haddock tomorrow. We're very pleased to know they smoke the fish themselves. We'll definitely visit again. It's sad that so many fishmongers have closed but we're grateful to have such a high quality shop near where we live.
