Delivering to Lymington
We deliver to Lymington on selected delivery days. Please contact us on 01202 747661 to arrange delivery to the SO41 area.
Lymington is a Georgian harbour town on the western edge of the New Forest, a sailing capital with a strong appreciation for quality food and coastal living. Though just outside our core BH delivery area, we extend our service to Lymington because the demand for properly fresh fish is strong and the town deserves a fishmonger to match its standards.
Serving the streets around Lymington Marina, Royal Lymington Yacht Club, Lymington Town Quay, Isle of Wight Ferry.
Fresh Off the Boat
Day-boat and locally landed wherever the catch allows, sourced each morning and never frozen-then-thawed. The same fish that fills our Parkstone counter goes into every Lymington order.
Prepared to Order, Your Way
Filleted, descaled, pin-boned, skinned or portioned exactly how you ask, by hand, by people who do it all day. Tell us how you're cooking it and we'll prepare it to match.
Chilled to Your Door
Delivered across Lymington in our own refrigerated van, not by a courier or the post. Free on orders over £40, Tuesday to Saturday, arriving as fresh as the counter.

Where the Cobbles Run Down to the Quay
There’s a moment on Lymington High Street where the shopfronts give way, the cobbles steepen, and you catch the masts. The Georgian houses, the Saturday market trestles, the smell of salt off the Solent. It all funnels down to the Town Quay and the water beyond. This is a town that was built facing the sea and still does. We think a fishmonger ought to face it the same way.
Lymington sits in SO41, in Hampshire, which puts it past the edge of our core BH delivery patch. So we serve it a little differently. We run to the SO41 area on selected delivery days rather than as part of our daily round, and the simplest thing is to call us on 01202 747661 or email info@parkstonefisheries.net to set up a day that works. Once you’re on a run, ordering is straightforward, and the fish travels in our own refrigerated van, not a courier’s.
A Town That Already Knows Good Seafood
You don’t have to explain fish to Lymington. Between the boats coming in off the Solent, the market stalls every Saturday, and a High Street that has fed a discerning crowd for generations, the standard here is high and the palate is informed. We like that. It’s far easier to sell to people who can tell the difference, and we’d back ours against anything on this coast.
Everything is cut to order the morning your delivery goes out. Not portioned in a warehouse days ago, not sweating under cling film in a chilled cabinet. We work with day-boat and locally landed fish wherever the catch allows, so what reaches you reflects what the sea actually gave up that week. We’ve been a fishmonger since the 1920s, more than a hundred years on the same trade, and the 4.7 rating from our regulars is the part we’re proudest of. Have a look at the full range and the fresh fish counter to see what that means in practice.
What sailing town kitchens reach for
The waterside homes around the marinas tend to entertain, and they tend to do it well. Our smoked salmon is cured and sliced in-house and barely needs a kitchen: brown bread, a wedge of lemon, done. The shellfish does the heavy lifting for anyone cooking for a table, and the prawns disappear fast at a summer lunch. We also make our own pâté on the premises, alongside a marinated deli range that suits grazing rather than a full sit-down spread.
Provisioning for the Solent
Lymington is built for this. With the Yacht Haven, the Berthon marina, the working harbour and the Isle of Wight ferry all within a few minutes of each other, half the town seems to be heading out on any given weekend. We provision boats often, and we’ve made it a proper part of what we do. See yacht provisioning for the full picture.
The logic of feeding people afloat is its own thing. You want food that holds, that serves cold or with minimal fuss in a galley, and that still looks the part when it comes out. That’s where our platters earn their place in a cockpit, where chilled shellfish and sliced smoked salmon come into their own, and where a few marinated deli bits round out a long day on the water. Tell us the date, the headcount, and where you’re berthed, and we’ll build it to suit. Platters want around 48 hours’ notice; the standard range goes on your scheduled delivery day, with orders placed by 3pm slotting into the next available run.
The Saturday Market and the Run East
The market down the cobbled High Street is one of the best in the county: bakers, cheesemongers, growers, and a crowd that takes its shopping seriously. We aren’t on the Quay alongside the stalls, but the thinking is the same: hand-prepared, cut for the person buying it, sourced with care rather than convenience. It’s the kind of food culture a fishmonger belongs in, even when the fishmonger is delivering from twenty-odd miles down the coast.
Lymington also marks the western reach of our patch, where the Solent meets the salt marshes and the New Forest begins. We carry the SO41 deliveries east toward New Forest addresses and across to New Milton, which sits in BH25 and may well fall on our regular round instead (worth a quick check by phone). If you’d rather skip the wait, you’re always welcome to collect from the Parkstone counter, with no minimum on collection, Tuesday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm and Saturday until 3pm. We’re closed Sunday and Monday. Browse what’s in season before you order, or read the blog and recipes for ideas on what to do with it once it lands.
How Delivery to Lymington Works
To keep it plain: delivery is free on orders of £40 or more, runs Tuesday to Saturday, and orders placed by 3pm go on the next available day, but for the SO41 area specifically, that next available day depends on our selected Lymington runs, so the first step is always a quick word with us. Ring 01202 747661 or email info@parkstonefisheries.net and we’ll confirm your day, take your order, and have it cut fresh and packed cold for the trip down to the western Solent.
What People Say
Rated 4.7 by 205+ Customers
Always quality produce and great customer service.
I am a Private Chef and I love going into Parkstone Fisheries! The fish is of outstanding quality, mostly local and dayboat caught. The knowledge the whole team have is second to none. And if you want the bones for stock...probably best not get one that Jason has filleted as it will JUST be bones. Looking forward to going in there for many years to come!
We were so impressed with our first visit to Parkstone Fisheries. We received a very friendly welcome and advice on the fish they supply. We look forward to cooking the plaice tonight and the smoked haddock tomorrow. We're very pleased to know they smoke the fish themselves. We'll definitely visit again. It's sad that so many fishmongers have closed but we're grateful to have such a high quality shop near where we live.
