About our tuna
Fresh tuna steaks, thick cut and deep red, sold singly in two sizes: around 170 to 200g and 230 to 250g. Tuna has a dense, meaty texture that takes fierce heat. Sear it hard in a smoking pan, put it straight on the barbecue, or grill it. It carries soy, ginger, chilli and lime better than almost anything on the counter. Cook it pink in the middle for the best texture, which means a minute or two on each side. Packs of five frozen portions are in our Frozen section.
